Our Partners
Our Partners are our wider community
Bamford Community Arts & Crafts has a combination of individual membership and affiliate organisation membership, otherwise known as our partners. In this way we can work together on projects, or help each other promote and underpin the organisations involved. We invite any village group or organisation to join us as an affiliate member. There is no cost involved, just fill in an application form and nominate a representative.
THE ANGLERS REST
The Anglers Rest, Derbyshire's first community owned pub, lies at the heart of the community in Bamford, and the BCAC has a long tradition of holding events in the pub. We start again soon with the popular Spotlight Nights, we'll be looking at using the Anglers for other events too.
THE STEEL COTTON RAIL TRAIL MUSIC PROJECT
BCAC Trustees Phil and Mark have been busy recently planning a new projuct in conjuntion with the Hope Valley and High Peak Rail Partnership, an organisation which includes the railway companies, Network Rail and Derbyshire County Council. As a partner to the BCAC, it is hoped we can get involved in many aspects of the design of the project, and host one of the final music / spoken word presentations here in Bamford.
BAMFORD CREATIVE WRITERS
The writers group are into their third year now, meeting monthly on a Friday morning. Currently, we have 11 members, with over half coming to most meetings, so there is room for more. During 2025, the group secured funding for our rent of the Moore Hall for around 12 months, the BCAC were able to bank that money, ringfenced for the payments when due.
THE BEECHES
During 2025, a new community moved into (what was) the Quaker's site at the end of Water Lane. The Beeches are a welcoming community, interested in becoming an instrinsic part of Bamford life. They are already planning film nights for 18-25s, and hosted last year's annual Apple Day event.
OPEN HOUSE (Hathersage)
The Open House music events are becoming a feature of the Hathersage calendar, and we want to help that growth in music in the Hope Valley. We have agreed to work together when planning events to avoid clashes, and help promote each other positively.
